Capital Campaign
What is the Capital Campaign?
The capital campaign is a three to four year comprehensive drive to raise $3 million in private funds for LAMB. It began in May 2007 and will continue through January 2009.
What will the campaign do for LAMB?
- Support our state-of-the-art building.
- Fund various enhancements to the existing school facility.
- Support existing programs.
- Help establish an endowment fund to service the mortgage of the building acquisition and renovation costs.
Why is the capital campaign necessary?
The District of Columbia provides a per pupil allotment, but more funds are needed to ensure that our children receive a state of the art facility and education. Philanthropic aid from parents, individuals and organizations are necessary to bridge the gap in funding to help LAMB attain uncontested leadership in the public school district.
How will the campaign effect the world and beyond?
The campaign will enable our children to:
- Excel academically;
- Thrive in a safe and secure environment, where their cultures and languages are affirmed in a manner that leaves no question about their value as human beings;
In what forms may gifts be made to the campaign?
This Wish List provides a menu of items that may be contributed. We encourage your active participation and generous contribution to this campaign. Contributions and gifts may be provided by checks or credit cards and can be made in a lump sum or pledged over a period of up to three years.
